The series features some of MontrŽal’s best playwrights performing monologues. The format of the evening includes solo performances either by the playwright or by an actor reading a monologue; a dramatic scene, a memoir, or a short story.
In keeping with the spirit of solo performance, the musical element of the first two events included solo performers. At both evenings, for example, musicians included a guitarist and an accordionist.
Both events were broadcast on in MontrŽal. The radio feedback was extremely positive with such comments as “compelling”, “riveting”, and “this is good radio”.
