[November 28] The 3 Crooners appear this week in Montréal! Watch in local media for bits and bytes as the show date approaches. Global TV features George Evans on Friday Morning in LIVE performance. 940 News features the Crooners in interview this week with Hudson Foga. The Montréal Mirror interviews George in their November 27th issue. The Gazette features the Crooners in their Friday issue. Interviews and appearances as well on Desautels and Escale Jazz on Radio-Canada, All In A Weekend on CBC Radio, Dobbin's Den and Café on CKUT, Arts Notebook and 4 à 6 on CINQ-fm, and on Radio Ville-Marie as well. [November 13] George Evans appeared with his quartet in Jazz At The Movies on stage at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto to great revues. [November 5] The 3 Crooners are scheduled to appear at La Sala Rossa in Montréal on November 30th for a spectacular return engagement. John Alcorn, George Evans, and John Labelle will be backed once again by John Sadowy on piano, with Adam Over on bass and Jim Doxas on drums. [October 30] The 3 Crooners made a hit in Montreal, and are booking a return in November. In related news, with the track list complete for the upcoming Crooner Collection CD on Maximum Jazz, George Evans is ready to promote the "boy singers" to new audiences across Canada. Watch for an announcement of the release date in the weeks to come.

[October 12] As soon as the press release went out for The 3 Crooners performance in Montreal, offers and inquiries for concert dates started coming in. Look for the Crooners in Toronto and environs in January and April. George has also just been asked to go into studio to record a solo session for CBC Radio's Jazz Beat program this coming February.

[October 9] George to appear in Montreal next week on a triple bill with two other fine Canadian male vocalists, John Alcorn and John Labelle. This unusual event is a tie-in with a forthcoming CD collection of the best in Canadian male jazz vocals. See the Calendar for more.

[August 18] Currently, George is writing his column for the Fall issue of Planet Jazz, including new vocal releases and another Canadian spotlight. Note: a special feature is planned on another area of interest to vocal fans.

[July 30] Recent debut performance at the Montréal Bistro in Toronto, and other local dates at Statler's on Church Street going well. Watch for other appearances as the new season starts.

[June 6] After many weeks turning up on station top ten jazz lists here in Canada, George Evans Eyes For You hits the !earshot Top 20 National Jazz Chart. This in addition to being in the EJazzNews Top 10 Canadian Jazz Chart since early May. As these major points clearly attest, this CD is due for wider distribution. Go to the Tracking pages for more.

[June 2] Back in Toronto from the Spring tour. On the road, George sang to a contented crowd of jazz fans in Brantford, Ontario, and went on to raise the roof at O Patro Vys in Montréal. While in the Montréal area, George appeared in local media to promote his new CD as well as the Verve Diva Series. He was profiled on All In A Weekend on CBC, and performed LIVE on Global TV's This Morning with Tracey McKee..

[May 10] George performs in Brantford, Ontario on Monday night, followed by a voice-over business trip to the Cincinnati area. Montéal performance date confirmed: George will appear Wednesday, May 28 at the O Patro Vys show bar on the Plateau, for one night only with his dynamic Montréal trio.

[April 9] George is in talks to perform in a Montréal night club at the end of May. Check the Calendar for details as they come in.

[April 7] Peter Stevens' Jazz Tracks on CJAM-FM has recently discovered the music of George Evans, featuring the new CD on the program of March 30. A host of some 23 years on CJAM and on the CBC before that, Mr. Stevens has plans to revisit George's three earlier CDs on upcoming programs.

[April 1] George Evans will be coordinating the French presentation for Proctor and Gamble at the Quebec dental convention in May. This annual gig will once again necessitate travel to the base of P&G, Cincinnati, Ohio, George's home town.

[March 24] Host Rusty Rush reports "Eyes For You" added to the playlist for Voices of Jazz on KAMU-fm. The album is being showcased four cuts at a time over the space of two programs.

[March 14] George Evans "Eyes For You" has spent eight weeks in the Chart Attack Alternative Jazz Radio charts. Highlights include: CHUO Ottawa Top Ten Jazz Albums, CFRC Kingston Top Ten Jazz Albums.

[March 2nd] This week on WBAI 99.5 FM in NYC "Everything Old Is New Again" The featured CD of the week is George Evans "Eyes For You" Can be heard on the Internet on WBAI Sunday, 9-11 PM(EDT).
